You can't beat Wellington on a good day

It is a real shame we don't get enough of them. . . Spring, of course, is Wellington's worst weather. Quite variable. Today has not been one of the good days but yesterday was a stunner.

Did get a call today from Yvonne who was in town on her way back from Paris ( as you do when you are Soroptomist) Anyway meant we met her for dinner tonight. Went to our new favourite Italian on Tinakori Rd. Found the Council have been putting in pavement quotes up on this street a bit like smaller versons of the waterfront plaques. Liked this one from Charles Heaphy. Seems to be the precursor of the "You can't beat Wellington on a good day" sentiment
