Caroll is an 80 year old playing a 6 year old bird. Far older than 58 year old Nancy Cartwright, voice of Bart Simpson. Wonder who is the oldest human playing the youngest character?

Lovely item on stuff today about puppeteer named Caroll Spinney. Name may not be familiar but his characters are - he is both Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch on Sesame St and has been since the show commenced over 50'years ago. Now aged 80+ he stars in a film about his life I am Big Bird. When asked why now his answer was " Wanted to do this while I am still alive". Movie reviews are mixed from "schmultzy and fatally flawed" right through to "profound insight"
