Lovely story in the Herald about the drunk 59 year old with the Santa hat who crashed into a barrier at Whangarei Hospital. When the police arrived she walked off and 'a low speed foot ensued with the officers walking briskly after the woman'. She was heard to shout. " I can drive! I've been driving for years!". Police used this as an opportunity to recommend Christmas revellers use a sober driver.
