Article in this morning's Herald bemoaning the changes in back country tourism. In addition to DOC huts and tenting on some of the tracks like the Routebourn and Milford there are new huts being built with beds and toilets. At a cost - but this has been dubbed "glamping" and some tramping club members are saying "not a true experience" I think this must be what Una and her friends did last year when they had helicopters, jet boats and 3 course catered meals on their back country walk.

I could go tramping with an ensuite and dinner at the end
