Law is not an ass in this case

Wonderful news from Australia today about how Garry the goat was issued a ticket for eating flowers in central Sydney. Garry the goat got his day in court, along with his owner, and was fund not guilty. There was apparently no evidence that Garry had gone into Sydney with the intention of eating flowers. Part of his defence was that he might have preferred ice cream but none was available!Being a goat he did eat whatever was at hand
