Am in Auckland today; been meeting new sponsors and confirming some sponsorships. One if the places were at today went very well. Towards end of session when we were chatting marketing manage noted he used to work for Purina dog foods including Tux brand. Turned out he was the marketer responsible for "Tux keeps you full of life" ad. We could both break into the ad . . . Apparently in a later campaign the Purina people were using the dog that had starred in Toyota "Bugger" ad. All going fine till dog dropped dead of heart attack. Whole campaign has to start over. Bugger indeed.
