An historic day

In reality the Mondayisation of public holidays will have more impact on us

Tonight the Marriage Equality Bill passed, so did Mondayisation of public holidays Been a great feeling - although obviously not for everyone

The anti marriage equality faction, rarely rational, reached new heights (or depths) today

An amazing email was sent to the 77 MPs who voted for the second reading of the Bill last week

It read "Come together, hold assembly, you shameless 77 - before you are driven out of office, before the burning anger of the voters overtake you, for the day of reckoning will come for sure, you hollow 77, whitewashed sepulchres."

Tony and I watched Parliament TV as the Act was passed - I didn't see any white washed sepulchres though I was looking.

I was at Parliament tonight for a health function - there were hundreds of people waiting outside, including many I knew, who were waiting to get into Parliament to watch the historic event.
