Celebrating 118 years

We are home from Auckland. Has been amazing weekend. Another experience of our extended family at its best. Much

laughter; too much food; a lot of wine; teasing in quantity. Adrian's 30th and Nana's 88th birthday were different occasions but same group of people and same amount of laughter.

This was Noel's photo but does show most of us in full joy and that was only the beginning of the weekend!

Hard to pick highlight

Dinner Friday was memorable; probably never again will we eat as Tony described it, all of Bambi, Babe and the little red hen in one sitting!

Saturday Team Tim went and cheered the ref at a rugby game.

Ponsonby Central is Tony's new favourite place

Saturday night we had the privilege of Nana cooking for us - at 88 ( though on Sat she was technically a mere 87) this isn't likely to be repeated often We could see how great a toll cooking for 8 took on her.

Brunch for Nana today was a more subdued meal than dinner on Friday but still fun. Became even more special as we realised we were right beside the launch of Labour Party election strategy. A highlight for Adrian and torture for Bernie- made it special in two ways - the ultimate tease!
