Things we cannot control

despite all the predictions of a good summer the weather has decided that it has its own plans and this is something we cannot control. Although Christmas Day may have been fine despite the weather forecast we cannot say the same about yesterday or today. Unfortunately the outlook for the next 10 days will not endear NZ summers to any visitors from Italy, London or Melbourne nor any wedding parties.In the time between now and the 5th January - 10 days - only 30% of them are predicted to be fine - 5th january is not one of those days

We may all have to practice the serenity prayer - used by AA but not originally written for them:-)

God grant me the serenity

to accept the things I cannot change;

courage to change the things I can;

and wisdom to know the difference.
