The day the brave new world seemed crumble

I wonder what kind of brave new world there might have been if those three men had lived beyond 22 November 1963

Tomorrow will mark 50 years since CS Lewis died - though Narnia lives on on the same day Aldous Huxley died. Brave New World was Huxleys most famous work. On the same day JFK was assassinated. They say anyone over 50 can tell you what they were doing when they heard the news of a shooting in Dallas. I meet criteria of being over 50 but have no memory of that day at all. Of course I was only 4 and that might be a contributing factor. Feel slightly better tonight when Tony told me he can't remember where he was but he does remember the news. Mind you he was a very mature 7. I have used many of JFKs quotes in my work over the years

Two I particularly like

Those who look only to the past or the present are certain to miss the future

I am only one but I am someone; I cannot do everything but I can do something
