The end could be nigh - if you can see it

Apparently there are more blood moons over the next year and all occur on significant religious days.

Writing from Kaitaia - town in the winter less north. Hot and muggy here but one of the most depressing towns you might visit. So possibly an appropriate place to be talking about whether last night's blood moon signalled the end of the world. As it was raining solidly for the two hours in which the eclipse was happening there was quite literally nothing to see. Made me wonder aloud "If seeing the blood moon signals the end of the world - if you can't see it are you spared?" That does lead to some wonderful mind pictures of apocalypse scenes in dry spots and life as normal with an umbrella.
