But of course for The Kirbys the most memorable event was the arrival of Adrian Denis on 8-8-1984

Changed our world, enriched and enlivened

Ghostbusters was the hit movie of the year and hit song was Tina Turner "What's love got to do with it? (bet you are humming now)

Happy birthday AdrianBeen great to be in contact. In 1984 the 8th August was a Wednesday. The day before Mark and I had spent day together looking at cars, been to school for my last teaching session pre baby and generally had a good time before Tony took me through to hospital in the aft on to prepare for this baby who just didn't want to come out - had to be persuaded with drugs . . .

The Olympics were on at the time and it was Carl Lewis' speed that wowed people.LA Most notable for the Russian boycott the NZ team won a fair number of records in sailing, canoeing, kayaking and equestrian. Not much does change
