During our Chch years Le Cafe was a frequent haunt. It was in the Arts Centre if your memory needs a nudge. The Arts Centre hosted a variety of activities as varied as Mark's viola lessons, the food stalls and Fudge Cottage. Le Cafe was a place we coffeed, we chatted, we sat in the sun and watched life go by. The earthquake took away most of the Arts Centre including Le Cafe. Today a new cafe opened - called The Bunsen in honour of the Science lecturer whose lab was in the venue - Dr Burns and is famous for a particular patent on the Bunsen burner. The owner started his career as a dishwasher at Le Cafe so nice synchronisation
