No regrets

I think that this weekend we have lived some of those aspirations. I hope whatever you have done today you have been true to yourself, happy and been in touch with friends.

Looks like ferry arrived. So time to go.

Was reading something today about a new book from a palliative care nurse. Apparently across all her experience there are 5 common end of life regrets:

1. I wish I had stayed true to myself and worried less about what others thought of me

2. I wish I hadn't worked so hard

3. I wish I had the courage to express my feelings

4. I wish I kept closer contact with my friends

5. I wish I had let myself be happier

Updating this as we are waiting for the ferry to take us home. We have enjoyed our Blenheim weekend and it is good knowing we are heading back with another day off tomorrow. Picture taken at the Farmers Market in Blenheim.

We are really glad we made the time to come down. Really enjoyed the time we spent with the Oliver's.. Simon who is in his 5th year of dentistry training is going to be doing a placement at Porirua for 5 weeks from mid Feb. he is going to come and stay at our place. Was good to see him this time and I think he will be a v easy house guest. We also saw Marsha last night. While that was nice it wasn't a highlight. However the last time Marsha came to NZ we felt v guilty that we hadn't got down to visit so this time we made it a priority. May not again - but got to do things to stop guilt.

We did take a walk up part of the Wither Hills walkway today - first time we think. Was a great walk that gave amazing views over the Marlborough area. One of only two times in the weekend that Tony's camera got a good workout. Yesterday camera had a bit of action as we walked through the gardens.
