Reflections on KeriKeri

Can't have untitled posts so here is a title. We have worked out that this is Tony and my 3rd visit to KeriKeri. Once in Feb 2008 when it was hot and v wet, once in May 2009 when it was v cold and wet and now again at the end of 2011 and it is warm and v wet. There is a theme to our visits . . . .The climate is apparently not dissimilar to that of the Loire region in France so the grapes that are grown here are chambourcin, pinotage and Syrah. Makes for v full bodied reds which we enjoyed at the 2 vineyards we visited this morning. Is am sure tht the Loire valley isn't this wet but I had better not visit just in case!

Have managed 2 walks in the rain but have been pleasant if you don't mind the hills.

We have been pleasantly surprised by the house and land prices - though that is not enough to entice me to live here especially if it is going to rain all the times I come. You can tell I am convinced it Is me that Is the jinx!

I have decided te community is not dissimilar to that of Hokitika and somewhat relishes it isolation.

You can also tell from this that I am still getting used to the iPad keyboard there are some funny words where my fingers and the keypad haven't quite connected. The code adds to the reading challenges!

Mark did tell me yesterday that adding an imag to the blogs would be more interesting and make the front page more dynamic but I'm afraid I just can't work out how to do it. Tried to follow the instructions but no lick. So less dynamic but blog none the less.
