A toast to longevity

Adrian is out at his farewell - really is down to the hours till he goes now.

I don't know if your father saved anything from his breakfast before we got married but I'm pretty sure it won't fetch you $400 at auction.

Mind you our marriage ahs lasted longer and it is hard to auction that off either!

The question that this raises for me is What kind of bread was this? Not sure what kind of bread Price Charles eats but bet it isn't Vogels which goes quite mouldy after a week - imagine after 31 years - there would be only a few mould spores left.

Of course to get this historical artefact the person actually stole the food from the palace - thought it was "an unusual wedding souvenir" - she was a Palace maid.

I know people keep and treasure the most amazing things - and that one person's trash is another person's treasure but news story today really takes the cake.A slice of toast from July 1981 has sold at auction for 230 pounds (NZ$450). It is mean to be from Prince Charles breakfast on the day of his wedding to Diana. though of course this can't be proved.
