Other Family Holiday

Buenos días mi famila!

Greetings from Torremolinos

Having a lovely time here with Stacey, Debbie, Kumar and his friend Ryan. Have packed in a lot to our three days here so far; lazed about on beaches, partied till the wee hours, explored cities, driven across country, befriended monkeys, even scaled a mountain - or at least a very big rock. Think we have walked more the 50km (25 yesterday!) so currently enjoying a much deserved rest sunbathing by the pool at the hotel.

High point so far was definitely the trip to Gibraltar and the rock. There are wild macaque monkeys at the top who equal parts majestic and cheeky and not too shy to rummage through your pockets. We took the cable car up and walked down, the top is covered in cloud but as you descend you uncover a spectacular view.

It's about 150km from where we are staying so rented a VW Polo, squashed every one in and drove there. Was pretty nervous about driving on the other side of the road but it was fine. In fact the roads along Costa del Sol are such a joy to drive. Winding through the hills they offer spectacular views of the coast, surrounding mountains and the lavish villas perched atop.

First holiday I've had with Stacey's family and, although I'm hardly a stranger, it has been great to spend some quality time with Debbie and Kumar in a new environment. Ryan is good value too. Wish you all could be here too!

Anyway, enough jabber... here are some photos.
Will upload more when I have proper internet .
