Driverless cars

Fascinating comment on Story (weaker version of Campbell Live) yesterday.

Duncan Garner commented that when we have driverless cars train stations etc won't need carparks.

Thought about the implications. Will they just be pay per trip like a taxi (that won't suit everyone)? If you own a car will it just go away and park somewhere else? What else is possible?
